Kiva

on March 7, 2015

pic1I love to cook and I am always looking for great new cooking products.  I just found these great seasonings from Kiva.  I love the hint of paprika in my dishes, it gives it a great smokey flavor.  I was really excited to try out these new versions of paprika.

The hot smoked offers a deep, rich taste with a hint of spice.  I love using it with Mexican dishes.  It offers a great depth to the food but is not really over powering.  I am not a big fav on spicy foods but I actually really like this seasoning.  Even though it does offer some heat it is not over powering it’s just a slight hint.

The sweet smoked is my favorite.  It offers that deep rich flavor as well but it offers a hint of sweet.  I am a huge fan of sweet paprika and I loved the smokey combination with the sweet.  It offers a great addition to any dish! My favorite is my famous home made chili!

Here is some additional information from the company:

We imported our smoked paprika from the famous La Vera region of Spain. Following a century old recipe, hand-harvested peppers are smoked dried over holm oak for a minimum of 14 days . This gives our paprika its unique rich flavor.

Sweet Smoked Paprika: Deep, rich flavor with a slightly sweet undertone.
Hot Smoked Paprika Deep, rich, slightly spicy flavor

Our paprika is only made in small batches to ensure optimum aroma, color and flavor.
