Power Theory Credit Card-Sized External Battery Charger

on January 18, 2015

pic1I just recently got a Power Theory credit card-sized external battery charger called the power bank.  This is a product you can charge up on your computer and once it is charged carry around with you as a back-up charging source for your phone or other electronic devices.  This one seems to be designed for the iPhone 5 or above though, it comes with an adaptor that you can use to plug it into the iPhone 5, 5S, 5C, 6, 6 plus.  There are so many products like this so let me tell you what I like about this one that seems to set it apart from other products that provide the same benefits.

First the Power Theory power bank is very small and slim.  Most of these power devices are bulky and are kind of a pain to take around with you.  This one is the size of a credit card and it isn’t much thicker then one either!  You can literally fit it into the pocket in your wallet.  The blue charger you see here folds up into the charge so it’s a nice flat, small, sleek charger.  You can shove it in your bag, backpack or like I said wallet and take it with you anywhere you go!  Super convenient and I am more likely to use it compared to some of the other products I have tried in the past because it is really easy to transport.

pic3Secondly it is adaptable for iPhone 5 and above.  I have had trouble finding chargers that work with my iPhone 5S and I was super happy to see not only is it comparable but it even comes with the charger included.

Finally I love that everything is attached to the charger itself, so I don’t have to have a phone cord to charge the phone.  You can store the adaptor in the Power Bank and that’s all you need. Attach the blue cord that is attached to the power bank to the adaptor and the adaptor to your phone.  So all you need is the charger! Again I am far more likely to utilize the product if it is convenient and easy to use.  With these features and having everything attached I am always using it.  I charge it up at night and throw it in my purse in case I need it during the day.  Super easy and convenient! Love it.

Here is some additional information from the company:

Power Theory® Credit Card-Sized 2500mAh Portable Charger External Battery Pack with built-in USB & Apple® Lightning Cable. The PowerCard is a Lightweight Backup Phone Power Bank That Fits in a Pocket or Wallet and Works Great for iPhone 5/6, Samsung Galaxy, HTC, Nexus and More.

  • THE POWERCARD – A PERFECT COMBINATION OF POWER, SIZE & WEIGHT. Many products claim to be “the world’s thinnest, lightest power bank”. Usually that just means they don’t have enough juice to actually charge your phone enough to use it. If you compare our ratio of weight (60g/2.1oz), to compact size (3.75 x 2.4 x 1/4 inches) to powerful charge (2500 mAh Real Capacity) you will not find a better external battery charger for emergency situations or those days where you need a little extra power.NO MORE FUSSING AROUND IN YOUR BAG FOR ANNOYING CHARGING CABLES. A portable battery charger is not really portable if you have to also carry the cables that easily break or tangle. Our smartly designed external power bank has a built-in Micro USB and Apple Lightning Cable meaning you have everything need to charge your phone when you need it the most.

NEVER RUN OUT OF BATTERY POWER AGAIN. External battery packs are a great idea in theory, but we found that we never seemed to have them on hand when we needed them the most. To solve this we designed the PowerCard. Our lightweight design means you can always carry the charger with you whether you are out on business, travel or at a restaurant. Our A+ Li-Polymer battery cell (2500 mAh) means that you can depend on the PowerCard to fully charge almost all smartphones.

You can get one for yourself on Amazon for only $12.95!

I received one or more of the products mentioned above for free using Tomoson.com. Regardless, I only recommend products or services I use personally and believe will be good for my readers.
