I just tried out the 3-in-1 Cree LED flashlight w/ magnetized base.  This thing is really neat!  It has 3 different modes of use.  First you can use it as a regular flashlight where light comes out the top.  One thing I noticed on this flashlight though is that not only does light come out of the top in this mode but around the flashlight face where the plastic is so you get light coming out the top but also around the head of the flashlight.  Second mode features light from the handle of the flashlight.  This is a great feature.  It produces a ton of light and lights up a large area. It’s like having a utility light.  This will really coming in hand when I am needing a light while fixing something!  The final mode features red lights that light up along the handle as in mode 2 and around the top of the flashlight as in mode 1.  The red lights blink off and on.  This would be a perfect light to have in your vehicle in case of an emergency or if you are an outdoorsy person put in your backpack.  The red flashing lights will signal to others that you need help! Or if you are broke done on the side of the road let people know where you are on the road.

pic3Not only are the the 3 different modes great but also the base is magnetized.  I actually didn’t realize this at first and when I took it off to add the batteries and set it down next to my laptop is quickly snap to my laptop.  This will be great again if you are trying to fix something or using it in an emergency.  The base holds really well.  You could position it on the hood or trunk of your car with the red lights flashing while you wait safely inside or place it on something magnet where you are working in mode 2 to be hands free.

This flashlight is really sturdy and high quality.  The lights in all 3 modes are really bright and work great.
